Trash & Recycling Collection Guidelines

  • Trash Collection: Tuesdays & Fridays
  • Recycling Collection: Fridays

Trash Collection Details:

Best Trash will collect household refuse placed curbside in the provided trash cart. Place the cart with handles facing the street. Residents may use one Best Trash cart for refuse, with additional waste placed in containers (30-50 gallons) or bags (up to 40 lbs). Trash must be at the curb by 7 AM on collection days.

Excluded Items:

Do not dispose of dirt, sod, mulch, rocks, bricks, concrete, tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, construction debris, or hazardous materials. Items containing liquids should not be placed in sealed containers. Best Trash is not responsible for stains caused by spills. Uncollected items will be tagged with an explanation.

Heavy Trash:

Tree trimmings, brush, and fencing must be bundled (max 3” diameter, 4’ length, 40 lbs). Large items such as furniture, mattresses, and up to one room of carpet (cut into 4’ bundles) will be collected on regular trash days. Refrigerators and appliances containing Freon must be drained with proof of service.

Special Collection Service:

For larger amounts of residential waste, yard trimmings, or bulk items, Best Trash offers special collection services. For pricing, email district name, address, and photos of items to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

Recycling Guidelines:

Accepted items include paper, cardboard, plastics (1-5,7), aluminum, tin cans, and glass. Ensure recyclables are clean and free from liquids or food residue. Only use the designated green recycle cart. Cardboard should be flattened and placed next to the cart if overflowing.

Cart Maintenance:

Each residence is provided with one 65-gallon trash and one 65-gallon recycling cart. Best Trash will replace defective carts due to wear and tear. Lost or stolen carts can be replaced for $85 by contacting Best Trash.
